kaki open in king’s cross

A huge new Chinese restaurant, Kaki, has opened in King’s Cross, taking the spot left by Canal 125 on Caledonian Road. They’ve gone for the industrial look inside, with lots of exposed brick and there are built-in hot plates for hotpot dishes on the bigger tables.

The extensive menu lists everything in Chinese first and with plates including the likes of braised trotters, fried pork intestines, boiled cod in hot chilli oil and hot and spicy frog’s legs (as well as more familiar dishes), it certainly sounds authentic. A lot of the dishes featured on their Insta contain A LOT of chilli, so if you like spicy Sichuan food, this place might be one for you.
