It’s the eighth year of this fashion partnership
As creative director of Dior and head of his own label JW Anderson, Jonathan Anderson is a one busy designer, but he’s found the time to drop another collab collection with Uniqlo for autumn / winter. The range, called Field Notes, is inspired by traditional British fieldwear and features both womenswear and menswear staples with a sprinkling JW Anderson magic.
Designed to make winter dressing easy and effortless, the collection includes everyday pieces with updated silhouettes and fabrics, like curved leg black trousers, boxy Oxford shirts for women and oversized ones for men, corduroy caps and rugby sweaters in soft lambswool. It’s minimalist but still playful, thanks to stripes, fairisle patterns, gradient knits and canvas totes in bold colours.
It’s still Uniqlo so, of course, the functional elements are present and correct – the utility jackets feature PUFFERTECH technology to make them extra cosy and the HEATTECH socks get a preppy twist with stripe and herringbone patterns.
