JULIE’S TO RE-OPEN

Ever since West London celeb haunt Julie’s shut up shop in 2015 there have been rumors that the restaurant and champagne bar would re-open. Well it’s finally happening this September, and very appropriately timed too as 2019 marks Julie’s 50th anniversary.

Julie’s was best known for playing host to celebs and royals, with the food often playing second fiddle. The restaurant has been undergoing an extensive refurb, with original interior designer Julie Hodgess overseeing the new look – so expect plenty of nods to the Julie’s of old, including stained glass windows and a series of small alcoves.

The food will be getting a serious update too as Shay Cooper, previously of The Goring, is taking charge of the kitchen with a modern British menu, featuring dishes like salt marsh lamb with pressed cabbage & garlic potatoes and roast Cornish cod with cuttlefish and bacon. Sounds like Julie’s is well and truly back.
