JUDY JOO TO OPEN SEOUL BIRD

Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush is really stepping up its food and drink game with a raft of chefs and traders moving in. One of the newbies is Seoul Bird, a new concept from Judy Joo who left her Soho restaurant Jinjuu earlier in 2019. As you can guess from the name, it’ll be all about Korean soul food, particularly Korean fried chicken.

You’ll be able to get Judy’s 24-hour brined and double fried birds as thighs, wings or tenders, served with Asian slaw and sauces like spicy Korean BBQ, ranch, honey mustard, and sweet soy ginger, or in a bun in the form of the Seoul Burger; fried chicken topped with soy and gochujang glaze, kewpie mayo, red onion, and iceberg lettuce.

The menu also features bibimbap bowls, truffle tater tots with seaweed mayo, kimchi mac & cheese and fried cauliflower to go with all that KFC, and you can pair it all with soju, spiked iced teas and pale ale. To celebrate the opening, Seoul Bird is running a Power Hour from 12pm- 1pm across 6th – 10th August, where the signature KFC will be just £1, with proceeds being donated to Only A Pavement Away. We can’t cluckin’ wait.
