If like us you’re not fluent in French you might wanna make sure you take down the name of this cocktail bar very carefully, especially given it’s sneaky entrance. Otherwise, like us, if you try freestyling it you just might end up with google results for Joey Barton Bordeaux. But that’s a whole other story.
Joyeux Bordel is the newish Shoreditch cocktail bar from the Experimental Cocktail Club boys. It’s on Curtain Road which might ring alarm bells on a Friday or Saturday night but actually once you’re inside you feel like you’re a million miles away from the East London streets. It’s a sexy little den with plush velvet sofas and seats along the bar – plus they only serve cocktails and champers, no wine (And beers but it sounds better for the BALLER factor not to mention them).
Cocktails come with quite the kick so you may wanna check out the local cheese and meat selection to soak up the booze. There’s a strong focus on rum based drinks and the menu changes up each season. A perfect date spot for cocktails in Shoreditch. Just don’t tell too many people – we wanna seat the next time we visit.
