If you were one of the people that queued for ten hours to get into Jollibee when it first opened here in Earl’s Court in 2018 then you’ll be very pleased to here that the Filipino chain is opening another site in Leicester Square next year. If you weren’t one of those people, we’ll break it down for you. Jollibee is absolutely huge in Asia and is best known for its fried chicken and its Jolly Spaghetti dish, which includes chopped up hot dogs and a sweet tomato sauce.
The new flagship site will be big – it’s taking over the spot where Bella Italia used to be – and it’s obviously much more central than the first branch, meaning it’ll be even easier (i.e less queuing) to get your fried chicken. And we’re expecting even more Jollibees to pop up across the country as the brand has plans to open 50 restaurants here in the next five years.
