It’s so long the small unit at Burlington Arcade and Hello, two full floors at No.35 Dover Street. The new flagship boutique for the Jimmy Choo Man has arrived people.
It’s only been 3 years since the luxury label ventured into men’s footwear, fusing Italian craftsmanship with edgy British style and blending classic with exotic materials. It’s clearly been a huge success, upgrading to a beautiful Georgian townhouse, rubbing shoulders with Christian Louboutin and McQ. FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!
The brand new boutique houses the full Jimmy Choo men’s collection, along with accessories like belts, leather goods and scarves. There’s not a sparkly heel in sight…a disappointment to some we’re sure!
The store itself is distinctly masculine, a rich palette of black, charcoal and chrome with touches of white marble, leather and exotic hides, er wow wa wee wa! There’s even a bar on the lower ground for the guys to sit back and relax. It’s basically Don Draper’s office from Mad Men.
As for the collection, expect classic silhouettes with a Jimmy twist. The Great Gatsby meets The Talented Mr. Ripley. In the world of Choo nothing is subtle, everything is exaggerated or oversized. As well as the Mayfair strutting stuff, there’s also some Dalston friendly rock’n’roll boots and trainers, all be it in alligator skin. Look out for the signature gold scorpion slipper, exclusive to the Dover Street store.
The store will be presenting at the London Collections: MAN in June.
