Havingjust announced the release date of their hotly-anticipated debut album, Birmingham four-piece JAWS have followed up with a new video for the record’s title track, ‘Be Slowly.’ It’s another blissed-out example of what these boys do best, and a dreamy concoction of late 80s jangle pop and summery shoegaze.
Suitably, the video is a fuzzy, retro recording filmed in an anonymous warehouse – but it might get you marvelling a little at how old you are. Remember when VHS was a thing? Remember recording all that christmas telly on your video recorder? Yeah? Well a lot of people probably don’t have a clue what any of that means now. Try telling a bunch of 16 year-olds about your VHS escapades and they’ll look at you pitifully like you’re a sad old Victorian war veteran.
Anyway, we digress. ‘Be Slowly’ (the album) is released on September 15th, or you can pick up the single from July 7th. They’ll also be celebrating the release with a September tour. Check out the dates below –
