JAPANESE-PERUVIAN RESTAURANT NAKANOJO TO OPEN SECOND SITE IN MARYLEBONE

Londoners are no strangers to the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant at this point. We’ve already got a few outposts of the international groups Chotto Matte and Sushisamba, among others, and last year saw Nakanojo – from first-time restaurateur and martial artist Josh Ahmet – open in Chelsea. Now, Nakanojo is branching out with a second spot and (in keeping with what seems to be a bit of a trend within the cuisine) it’s gonna be round Marylebone way.

Similarly to the OG location, the menu will feature an array of sharing dishes like chicken karaage with chipotle mayo; pulled pork pibil, portobello tataki, and wagyu carne asada tacos; sea bass ceviche with coconut leche de tigre; and a selection of sushi, with sake, pisco sours and bobas cocktails on the drinks list.

The new Nakanojo is set to open on Thayer Street early next year, just three doors down from London Peruvian fave Pachamama. Whether or not their fusion ceviche will hold up when put next to the killer selection at Pachamama remains to be seen.

Opens early 2023
13 – 14 Thayer St, London W1U 3JR
