The bakery’s second location is just off Oxford Street
With Happy Sky Bakery, Motoko McNulty has been bringing a taste of Japan to Shepherd’s Bush since 2007, winning fans thanks to her Tokyo milk bread and other Japanese treats. Now she and the team are about to gain a whole new following as a second Happy Sky Bakery has opened on Hanway Street, tucked just off Oxford Street.
The central London bakery is selling the same baked goods you’d find over in Shepherd’s Bush, including the signature milk bread, Tokyo honey toast, matcha pistachio croissants, yuzu custard tarts, teriyaki chicken buns, matcha cinnamon rolls, apple tatin croissants, chicken katsu sandos, adzuki bean pan, matcha mochi ribbons, melon pan and more.
Speaking about the new opening, Motoko said on Instagram, “For 18 years, I’ve dedicated myself to the craft of baking, pouring my heart into every loaf and every pastry. My dream has always been to share the beauty of Japanese bread with more people, and opening a bakery in the heart of London has been my greatest ambition.”
