Garden probably isn’t the first place you think of when it comes to Caribbean cuisine in London but that may be about to change with the opening of Jamaica Patty Co this weekend.

If you’ve walked down New Row you’ve probably spotted the yellow storefront shining like a beacon for those craving a taste of the Caribbean. Fed up with the lack of tasty patties in London, Jamaican-born entrepreneur Theresa Roberts has made it her mission to bring the best of her homeland here. And from the 22nd March we can all reap the benefits!

With flavours like jerk chicken, curried goat and saltfish and ackee, these aren’t just any old patties. They’ll also be serving up banana porridge, home-made soups and Blue Mountain coffee as well as traditional Tortuga rum cake. So come on JPC, hurry up and open those
doors, Jamaican us hungry!
