season is well and truely upon us and with one of 2015’s festival highlights only a matter of days away we thought we’d give you even MORE info on why Isle of Wight is the place to be June 11-14 and who we’re most looking forward to. With a lineup that features Blur, Fleetwood Mac AND The Prodgy (but to name a few) you’d think there would be no need to spoil us even further but those lovely people at IOW have done just that. Here’s some of the new areas added to the festival…

Strongbow Tree, a twelve metre high installation with a DJ booth, loungers and free cider…what more could one want Bulmers Colourena, fancy battling it out against your fellow festival goers for prizes? Here’s the place to do it and have a laugh while you’re at it. Jack Rocks Stage, with plans to run till 2am, the Jack Rocks stage has been taken over by those greta folk at this feeling so you won’t have to feel like you’re missing out on a night in Camden after all. Electro Love, A retro paradise- this tent is packed with video games, BMX bikes, UV lights and bubble parties. Cabaret Noir, one for the grown-ups. Cabaret Noir features contortionists, burlesque, a peep show, drag queens, fortune tellers, snake charmers and circus acts…and a pretty decent bar to boot.

Let’s not forget the line-up either- needless to say everyone’s running to grab a slice of the Fleetwood Mac glory but we’re also getting all tingly inside for The Charlatans’ return to the island not to mention having our souls healed with some uplifting psychedlic pop from First Aid Kit then getting our rocks on for a straight up tunefest from Black Keys. In fact, it’s all pretty amazing no matter where you end out…which means less planning and more partying (of course).
