Since Troy opened in Hoxton over 35 years ago, it has become a firm lunchtime favourite. The family-run business started as a sit-down restaurant but has evolved into a veggie mix-and-match salad bar that rivals a five-star buffet.
Pick your box and get scooping. There is a HUGE range of hot and cold Mediterranean dishes with both hot and cold options, covering everything from pasta, olives, beetroot, hummus, avocado and broccoli to things like spring rolls, noodles and even samosas. Make sure you leave enough room for a healthy dollop of hummus, which you can mop up with the piece of pitta thrown in for free.
It’s only £5.90 for a small box and £7.50 for a bigger box – including the pitta and a piece of fruit – rivaling a lot of the bigger companies and making it a very affordable but healthy lunch option.
It’s a whole family-affair with the uncle, dad, mum and daughter all working there, so it really is a must-visit.
