Everyone is getting lost
You won’t have seen it on socials (because you have to put your phone in a pouch when you go inside) but Lost is probably the hottest nightclub in London right now. Run by the team behind Secret Cinema and an artist-led collective “that occupies buildings for performance, cinema, live music and nightlife”, Lost has transformed the old Odeon cinema (which was the Saville Theatre before that) on Shaftesbury Avenue into a multi-level venue that hosts parties including live performances, DJ sets, film screenings and more.
The club nights on Friday and Saturday run until 6am, with the likes of Marco Lean, Amaliah, Tonto, Rat Section, Plushb4by and Braden Wells having all played previous events, alongside screenings of movies like Mulholland Drive, Eyes Wide Shut, Nymphomanic and Paris, Texas.
There are already plans in the works to redevelop the Saville Theatre into a new performance venue so it sounds like Lost won’t be around forever (well not in this location at least), so if you wanna check it out, best to try and get in there before the new year.
It’s been a tough few years for the city’s nightlife (the NTIA reports that 37% of nightclubs across the UK have closed since 2020) but with parties from the likes of Lost and new venues like Eutopia Warehouse and Palais opening, things are looking up.
