We were a bit skeptical when we heard about the opening of TT Liquor, another basement cocktail bar on the Shoreditch end of Kingsland Road…BUT we were wrong. Located across three floors the entrance is actually a pretty impressive liquor store with over 1000 bottles on offer, including some unusual and rare labels. Once through the store, there’s a number of different spaces; upstairs are rooms which host masterclasses whilst downstairs is the bar and what a bloody bar!
The atmospheric basement is huge and has more character than you’ll find in most other East London spots, with lots of alcoves and cubby holes in what used to be jail cells during the 19th century when the building was a police station. The cocktail menu showcases different eras of important times in cocktail history. Check out the 80’s selection for Club Tropicana style vibes – perfect for your social feeds too. If there’s nothing you fancy, they can knock you up a classic or make something to match your needs. Plus there’s beers, wines AND they’ll even let you bring something down from the liquor store above if you play nice.
