Crystal Stilts make cool garage pop sounding like Jesus and Mary Chain and Joy Division. Their current album ‘In Love with Oblivion’ came out back in April and is amazing. We’re looking forward to the show at XOYO on Monday (21st June) and managed to have some brief words with them before hand, however they are very moody fuckers…
US: Some people pigeon hole your sound to something or other, but how do Crystal Stilts sound in your head?
CS: A cigarette in space.
US: What do you think is the best song you have written?
CS: All our songs are our children and as children of mothers who loved our siblings more than us, we feel uncomfortable answering this question.
US: Who are some of your favourite bands of all time?
CS: We like American bands that sound British and vice versa
US: What new music has inspired you recently?
CS: The new arctic monkeys single has inspired us to multiple fits of laughter.
US: You’re coming to London to play XOYO on June 20th, where do you like to hangout?
CS: The emergency dentist and Joe’s gran’s place.
