The Joy Formidable releasing new single ‘Little Blimp’ next week on the 8th which is taken from their second studio album ‘Wolf’s Law’ out now, we thought it about time we had a chat and managed to find time in their very busy schedule to ask front woman Ritzy a few questions…

Where are you and what are you up to today?

Good morning! We’re in Salt Lake City, Utah today. Just had soup for breakfast and a stroll to see Temple Square. Beautiful views of the Wasatch mountains.

We’ve been digging the video for Little Blimp, those shows must have been rocking?

The shows have been great. We had so much fun in the UK and Europe and the US tour has been full on. Lovely crowds; a great welcome back.

How’s the tour going, you seem to always be on tour?

It’s a great life being on the road , waking up somewhere new every day, connecting with your fanbase. We’re a close unit and we love music, so it’s not a job, it’s the simplest part of being in the music industry.

What’s the plan for the summer?

We’re playing some great festivals , busy with some exciting new collaborations, works started on our third album and I’m making my first trip to the rainforest.

Any new bands that are impressing you at the moment?

Yeah, Fort Lean who are with us on this tour, We are animal, Denuo, CHVRCHES, Team Spirit…lots!
