five piece from Bath are an emotive force that capture the essence of multiple genres like folk and indie. Their debut single ‘Enemies’ is out on the 26th next week. We caught up with the band to talk and see how things are going in camp Pylo

US: Tell us how you got together as a band?

PYLO: We just fell in to place, we all knew each other through being in bands together or playing in separate bands and eventually we all just landed in the same place and started making music which has lead us to where we are are today.

US: Describe your sound and influences?

PYLO: We feel that music is more than just 5 people in a room making songs, we want people to feel what we are about through what we write, the music for us is the main attraction not the members so we hope to portray a very broad and emotive sound in the same way bands like pink floyd and radiohead manage to achieve over and over.

US:Tell us about your debut single and the video?

PYLO: Our Single ‘enemies’ is out now you can find it on YouTube and our website. We made the video on a budget of £0.00 so we took a camera down to a beach and filmed it ourselves, we wanted to just give the feeling of the video being as big as the song and its all about being lost and looking for someone to help you, a lot like the state of our country right now, we are all lost and need someone to help us take control of our situation.

US: What does 2013 look like for you lot?

PYLO: We hope it will bring us much more of what we want to be doing which is releasing our music and playing shows. Being in front of an audience is what we love doing the most and we want to make sure that’s what we are doing… Possibly an album, I don’t know .

US: What new music are you currently into?

PYLO: I’m very in to wye oak and st. Vincent and screamin’ jay hawkins but we all have different tastes we just like to listen to anything we feel is at the top of our game, music is real life to us so we just want it to sound like it comes from a real place.
