Whilst enjoying this years Glastonbury we got the chance to grab a quick five minutes with Mr Liam Gallagher who was accompanied by Gem Archer. Liam and co opened the festival this year with Beady Eye for their not so secret show at The Other Stage. Here’s how it went…
How was it opening the show? There was a massive crowd…
LG: We can play whenever man, to me that was headlining. When we play in our rehearsal room we do some mega, mega gigs so we can do whatever, we can go on at three o’clock in the afternoon twelve o’clock at night, eleven in the morning and that’s the best we can do. Any country, any weather any time.
There’s always gonna be people going with the Oasis thing, but people digged this show all round. We don’t want to be moody kecks.
When did you get here?
LG: We stayed in Bath and got up at six this morning, and we were here at Glastonbury at 09.45 then we got on stage at 11 and did [the opening show].
Gem Archer: We’ve been in the area for a couple of days because we were in the West Country shooting our next video for our new single. I can’t tell you what it is yet though.
Are you going to stick around?
LG: I’m not walking around (looks down at his shoes, a pair of pristine navy suede loafers)
Who do you want to see here?
LG: It would be great to see the Rolling Stones, Arctic monkeys, Tame Impala, but we have to go to France tomorrow.
