duo Lindsey Troy & Julie Edwards are Deap Vally who hurl out old school bluesy rock n roll. The have quickly made themselves noticeable and supported the likes of The Eagles of Death Metal, played all the festivals by the power of the sweat, move and groove of their beat. We caught up with drummer Julie while on tour with The Vaccines to ask them a few quick questions…

US: Where are you and what have you been up to today?

JE: In a van on the way to Bournemouth to play the last show of our tour with The Vaccines and DIIV.

US: How did you first get into music?

JE: I’ve been into music all my life. The first music I remember is probably honestly the original cast recording of the musical Oklahoma!

US: Whats the worst hangover you have ever had?

JE: A milkshake hangover. Ever had one? Don’t inhale a strawberry milkshake at 4am. You WILL regret it.

US: What does 2013 look like for Deap Vally?

JE: Touring touring and more touring. We’ll be on the road, playing festivals, travelling the world, and releasing our first record! We’re even going to India! Total Adventure All The Time.

US: Are there any bands around at the moment that get you excited?

JE: Queens of the Stoneage! Tame Impala! Chelsea Wolfe!
