Charity shop TRAID is hosting an in-store fundraiser at their Dalston site to mark 10 years since the Rana Plaza disaster. On Thurs 27th April, drop in to do some late-night shopping, join in on an activist embroidery workshop and listen to music from DJ Rowena. All sales from the evening will go towards the Bangladesh Centre for Workers’ Solidarity, an organisation that works to improve the rights, safety and working conditions of garment workers. TRAID is a member of the Rana Plaza Solidarity Collective who’ll be hosting various events throughout the month to remember the factory collapse and raise awareness of workers’ rights violations, particularly within the garment industry. Entry to the event is free, but clothing donations are encouraged.
