imperial treasure opens in london

We’ve got Din Tai Fung and now another acclaimed Chinese restaurant has opened its doors in London. Imperial Treasure, which has branches across China, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea – the Shanghai restaurant has two Michelin stars whilst the HK and Singapore restaurants have one apiece – has taken over a three-floor space in St James’s.

This is their first restaurant outside of Asia but according to their website, they’ve got designs on Paris next year. Given those creds and a menu that includes caviar with scrambled egg white, silver cod with chillies, soft shell crab with soya crumble, crispy Iberico barbecued pork belly, and salt and pepper deep fried eel, this is a fine dining affair. Peking duck is one of Imperial Treasure’s signature dishes, and it’s served sliced at the table, so make sure you order this showstopper.

In the mood for Chinese food right now? Here’s where to get it.
