The renowned theatre company Punchdrunk have returned to London, this time at One Cartridge Place, a former military arsenal in Woolwich. Their latest production ‘Burnt City’ depicts the fall of Troy and the mythical world of Gods and mortals that rise from the ashes. The play is set during the Trojan war and makes use of the opposing military arsenal buildings to house Troy and Ancient Greece. The immersive theatre group makes use of the unique setting to create what it describes as neon backstreets, sprawling labyrinths and a colossal playground.
The performance lasts up to three hours giving the audience the chance to fully immerse themselves in the world of ancient Greece. You’re free to explore the landscape and follow characters as you like, and if you want to find out more, you’ll have to book a ticket.
