An AI-Powered Hologram of Elvis Is Coming to London

Immersive events company Layered Reality have tasked themselves with the job of bringing Elvis back to life with this new experience

If you’ve ever wished you could see Elvis perform live, you’ll now kinda have the chance as an AI-generated hologram of the King is coming to London in November. The award-winning producers of The Gunpowder Plot and Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience, Layered Reality, have secured the rights for the show which will bring Elvis back to life through holographic projection, augmented reality, live theatre and multi-sensory effects.

They’ve also acquired access to an archive of Elvis’ personal photos and home videos, which they’ve used alongside AI to create never-before-seen Elvis performances. During the concert experience, a life-sized digital Elvis will also reenact some of the most iconic performances from his career. At the end of the show, guests will be invited to an ‘after party’ at the central London location’s (which hasn’t been announced yet) Elvis-themed restaurant and bar, complete with live music and DJs.

About the upcoming immersive experience, founder and CEO of Layered Reality Andrew McGuinness said: “It’ll be a memory-making experience that will be a bucket list item for Elvis fans and admirers around the world; people can step into the world of Elvis, walk in his shoes and celebrate his extraordinary musical legacy.”
