immerse yourself in the light house london cocktail week 2018

London Cocktail Week is coming and that means a whole load of pop-ups, events, parties, and masterclasses will be happening across the city, and the drinks will definitely be flowing. The London Essence Company is going all out for LCW with its immersive experience The Light House, which will combine multi-sensory light installations with low-calorie cocktails made by some of the best bartenders in the world. It’s all about exploring ways to live a lighter life, alcohol included.

The cocktails will all be made using The London Essence Company’s tonics, gingers and sodas, which are made with distilled essences and naturally sourced sweetness – so they’ll all be under 150 calories – and spirits like Hendricks, Reyka Vodka, St Germain and Seedlip, but the bartenders will have free reign to interpret what light means and tastes like for them, so expect some inventive results.

A different bartender will take charge of the cocktails each day, and with the likes of Erik Lorincz, Ago Perrone from The Connaught, Yann Bouvignies from Scarfes, Vasilis & Nikos from The Clumsies in Athens, Antonio Lai from Quinary in Hong Kong and Ricardo Nava from Licoreria Limantour in Mexico all appearing at The Light House, you can be sure that these are gonna be some damn good drinks.

The centrepiece of the space will be a bespoke sculpture made of glass rods that will come alive with light refractions, and The Light House will also host a series of ‘Light Talks’ in partnership with Healthy Hospo on wellbeing and mindfulness.
