In the five years that Ikoyi, run by Chef Jeremy Chan and Managing Director Iré Hassan-Odukale, has been at its St James’ Market home, the restaurant made a real splash on the London scene with its unique style blending British produce and West African ingredients, and then went international by earning two Michelin stars and a place on the World’s 50 Best list.
Now Ikoyi is on the move to a bigger and more prominent space, with the addition of a terrace and a private dining room, at 180 The Strand, which opening in December. Of the relocation, Jeremy and Iré have said, “The space we have designed will allow us the chance to fully express our interpretation of seasonality through bold heat and intensify the techniques we have worked on for the past five years.” Shooting for three stars perhaps? We’re excited to see what Ikoyi 2.0 will be like.
