If you want a trip to the Alps this winter, no quarantine required, just head for the Southbank as Jimmy Garcia is back his Lodge on the River. The alpine-inspired pop-up will feature the Refuge Restaurant, which’ll serve up a set menu including French onion soup, fondue, sharing steaks to cook on hot stones, massive cheese & charcuterie boards, and churros with hot chocolate; and the informal Lodge Grill, with a grab-and-go menu of raclette burgers, wild boar hot dogs and hot toddies.
As well as tables in the restaurant, the set of (heated, obvs) igloos will also return so you can hire them for private dining. N-ice ice baby. Given how crazy everyone goes for those giant igloos, you best get booking for these double quick.
