HUMBLE GRAPE TO OPEN IN CANARY WHARF

Humble Grape, which already has sites in Islington, Fleet Street, Battersea and Liverpool Street is heading east for its next one, opening a waterside spot in Canary Wharf where Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte used to be. The wine list will be extensive; more than 400 bottles and a rotating selection of 30 available by the glass, with plenty coming from small, sustainable, organic and biodynamic producers, and you can buy any wine you like to take home.

As with the other wine bars, this one will also be serving food with dishes like beef short rib nuggets and oyster mayo, roast cod with rainbow chard and fennel aioli, and smoked romanesque cauliflower with summer greens and spiced rice on the menu, plus black pudding scotch quails eggs and artichokes on toast with vegan aioli on for brunch. Humble Grape will be bringing something new to Canary Wharf, and with a terrace too, so if you work round that way you’ve got a nice new place to go drinking.

Opens mid-July 2019
