how to celebrate pride 2018

As well as the big parade in Central London, happening on 7th July this year, there are a whole host of other ways to celebrate Pride in the city, from drag brunches to flamboyant balls, so break out the rainbow colours and choose love.

Choose Love x Pride In London

This store has got just one product for sale; the iconic rainbow Choose Love logo t-shirt designed by Katharine Hamnett for Help Refugees, with all profits going to support LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum seekers around the world. The store will also host a series of free events, including Smashbox makeovers, so drop-in and get ready for the fest here.

Sink The Pink | The Colour Ball

Sink The Pink is heading south of the river for the very first time and it’s going to be the biggest party they’ve ever done. Taking over Brixton Academy, The Colour Ball will feature everything we’ve come to love from the collective, including flamboyant costumes, pageants, lip sync battles, live performances and a lot of glitter.

West End Dance at BLOK Clapton

Train and dance like a West End pro this Pride at BLOK. The two-hour dance workout led by Robin will feature a full isolation dance technique master class, including corner work, kicks and turns, and finish with a choreographed routine, so get ready to sweat!

Pride in London at Chotto Matte

It’s a Pride doubleheader at Chotto Matte. It kicks off on 30th June with a Chappy pre-Pride brunch extravaganza, featuring bottomless brunch, drag queens and DJs, and then on 7th July, they’re throwing a free Rainbow Pride festival complete with a rainbow menu of sushi, gyoza and cocktails.

Pride Fundraiser Brunch at Neptune

Neptune is celebrating their first Pride by teaming up with Fantastic Man and BLOUSE to hold a brunch in support of LGBT+ mental health charity London Friend. There’ll be food, there’ll be booze, there’ll be auction prizes from the likes of Russell Tovey, Olly Alexander, Erdem, Fever Ray, Mulberry and more, and it’s all for a good cause.
