Today marks Hoppers’ fifth birthday, and the Sri Lankan restaurant has some big news to celebrate. Launching today is Hoppers own ‘Cash & Kari’ retail range featuring meal kits, restaurant-blend curry powders, Sri Lankan spices, ready-to-drink cocktails, and Hoppers’ own-brew beers.
The store is now live at hopperscashandkari.com and on launch there’s going to be a range of signature spices, pantry essentials, snacks, ‘kari-home’ meal kits, bottled cocktails and Hoppers merchandise, with a lot more to be added in the coming months. Kari-home kits (a mix of ready to eat and cook-at-home dishes) that will be available on launch include:
- Paneer Kothu (£30 for 2-3 people)
Banana Chips; Vegetable Rolls with Sri Lankan Hot Sauce; Paneer Kothu; Tempered Yoghurt; and Choco-Coco Biskut Pudding
- Lamb Kothu (£30 for 2-3 people)
Banana Chips; Mutton Rolls with Sri Lankan Hot Sauce; Lamb Kothu; Tempered Yoghurt; and Choco-Coco Biskut Pudding
- Kalupol Chicken (£45 for 3-4 people)
Banana Chips; Mutton Rolls with Sri Lankan Hot Sauce; Roast Kalupol Chicken; Pol Rotis; Seeni Sambol; Lunu Miris; Carrot and Coriander Sambol; and Choco-Coco Biskut Puddings
Drinks available from the store include Hoppers’ own Toddy Ale brewed in collaboration with Salt Brewery, an unpasteurised Sri Lankan pale ale finished with tons of juicy hops and coconut; as well as the crisp, citrusy Tropical Lager brewed in collaboration with Camden Town Brewery. Two cocktails will also be on offer – a White Ruby Punch made with Ceylon Arrack, white port, kumquat, and jasmine tea, alongside the Arrack Attack made with Ceylon Arrack, house ginger beer and coriander seeds.
Hoppers Cash & Kari orders must be placed by 11pm each Sunday for delivery the following Friday between 7am and 9pm, with the first deliveries taking place on Friday 6th November.
