homeboy bar to open

An Irish bar is opening on Essex Road this December and it sounds like a good’un. Homeboy, run by Aaron Wall and Ciarán Smith (who have worked at Callooh Callay, London Cocktail Club, The Dorchester and Waldorf Astoria NYC between them before going out on their own), will be all about good drinks and good times in an Ireland-inspired living room bar. The cocktail menu will feature contemporary drinks made using modern techniques, classic cocktails and drinks that specifically showcase Irish whiskey, with Irish beers and draught Guinness also on offer, and you’ll be able to soak up all that booze with comfort food dishes like curry chips, poutine and Da’s Irish stew. The pair really want to bring modern Irish hospitality to London, so we expect the atmosphere in here to be on point.

It’s five o’clock somewhere, so have a drink at one of these cocktail bars.
