H&M Is Doing a Holiday-Themed White Lotus Collection

The show’s costume designer Alex Bovaird has collaborated with the high-street brand on the range

We’re taking another trip to everyone’s fave luxury hotel group (well apart from the guests that meet their demises there) and this time, we can dress the part. Yes The White Lotus returns to our screens on 17th February and to celebrate the release of season three, H&M has teamed up with the HBO show’s costume designer Alex Bovaird for a holiday-themed collab collection.

The show, which follows the wealthy elite as they holiday at extravagant resorts (we’ve had Hawaii and Sicily, next up is Thailand) has become known for its costuming, from Olivia and Paula’s vintage-inspired fits to Tanya’s printed kaftans, so the idea of a White Lotus range totally tracks.

Bovaird has taken plenty of cues from the looks featured in the show for the 25-piece collection, designed for lounging by the pool in the day and going for cocktails in the resort by night. As well as the obligatory kaftans, the range includes lightweight babydoll dresses, ruffle blouses, patterned shirts, crochet trousers, plunging printed swimsuits, pom pom leather sandals, woven totes and shell pendant necklaces, with plenty of voluminous silhouettes and Thai-inspired elephant and lotus flower motifs.

Speaking about the collection, Bovaird said, “I loved working with the team at H&M on the designs for the collection. We always have this little catchphrase on the show: ‘Nothing’s too much for The White Lotus!’ So, I’m drawn more to the bold patterns and the more sumptuous, billowing pieces. I love that the collection can be worn all day — something you could just throw on to go to breakfast or the pool, or you could add jewellery and wear it to dinner. There’s something for everyone. The collection incorporates the jungle, the show’s bright iconic colours, and some gold and glitz that signify a stylish and luxurious resort vacation.”

The H&M x The White Lotus collection will launch in select stores worldwide and online on Thurs 20th February, just after season three has premiered, with prices ranging from £18.99 to £118.
