Hill & Szrok on Broadway Market is one of the best butchers in town and now it’s set to get even better as the team are opening a second site in Newington Green (next door to Newington Green Fruit & Veg) this November. The new site will be called Stella’s but owner Luca Mathiszig-Lee has said to Eater that it will keep the same ethos – working closely with suppliers and stocking whole carcasses from small and independent farmers who use low-intervention methods to rear their animals.
He’ll also be putting in a bar at some stage too, which will serve up snacks, charcuterie cured in-house, tartares, and drinks. Over in London Fields Hill & Szrok serves up a menu of seasonal small plates and cuts from the butchery, so we hope the food in N1 will be just as good.
