high-end indian restaurant kutir
to open in chelsea
Rohit Ghai, the chef that launched Gymkhana and won a Michelin star at Jamavar, is opening his own place Kutir in Chelsea this November. The restaurant will take inspiration from the royal hunting traditions of the Indian countryside, so you can expect to feast on seasonal ingredients like game and seafood.
The a la carte menu will feature dishes like truffle and mushroom khichadi, lobster bonda and rasam, 24-hour slow-cooked rogan josh, and tandoori stone bass with crispy squid, and there’ll also be a £60 six course tasting menu on offer too. The cocktail list, created by co-founder Abhi Sangwan, will follow suit by using wild and natural Indian ingredients, like the basil, ginger lavender bitters, activated charcoal and bathtub gin Sariska and the Lodgic, made with jalapeno, watermelon, mango, sugarcane juice and vodka. Given Rohit’s history of cooking in some of the best Indian restaurants in town, we’ve got high hopes for Kutir.
