you can’t beat a good street party and this year we’ve enjoyed more than ever with the Queens Jubilee, the Olympics and the Paralympics. So get one more in this weekend before the weather turns too cold and head along to Hewett Street Block Party. Running from 12pm – 9pm on Saturday 22nd September, the free festival will showcase the best design, food, music, and art coming out of East London right now.

Highlights include stalls from local designers, friends and family including: Not Another Bill, GetMe!, super/collider, Jaguar Shoes Collective, Ditto Press and AC Projects. Whilst Barbershop Murdock will be on hand with barber chair dishing out free shaves a’la Sweeny Todd style.

To scran you’ll find Elliot’s famous burgers, Kimchi Quesadillas, F.A.T. Pickles, Hurricane Popcorn, Banh Mi, Rita’s Bar and tons more of the most popular street tucks in London. Belly Kids are putting on an exhibition ‘Eat Everything’ with Occult Pizzas 3D Pineapples, Pop-up Mince Meat Maidens and a futuristic, one of a kind bespoke pizza making turbine. Whatever that means….

All profits from the day will be donated to London-based children’s charity Hackney Pirate, just in-case you need anymore convincing. End summer with a bang!
