Ze German, the king of wurst opened up their basement bar in Fitzrovia not too long ago to serve up traditional German beer along with tasty German Sausage. Now, it’s Christmas time and Herman Ze German is fully aware of the occasion which is why there is a Christmas menu and each dish comes paired with a beer.

A few of our favs include the Winter Wurst Special, apple and onion bratwurst caged in a bread roll which comes with Herman’s Home Brew, and what a bloody brew. If you are fan of lager you’ll be able to drink this until the floor rushes up and hits you, as it sometimes does. Also the Chilli wurst which comes with a subtle kick, depending on what strength you go for, we dare you to try the ‘ringer. This is paired with a Paulaner Weiss bier, dark yet springily light.
