Here’s How to Celebrate Pride in London

Break out the rainbow colours and choose love

Pride in London is back in full force for 2025, with the annual parade returning to central London on 5th July. Attending the parade is just one of many ways to celebrate Pride in the city though, as there are a whole host of events popping up across the whole of Pride month, from queer theatre seasons to alternative Pride festivals to marches protesting the injustices faced by trans+ people.

Outside of the many parties, parades and concerts, you can also hit up the city’s best LGBTQ+ venues, and it’s worth keeping an eye out for the next events thrown by these queer club nights too.

HOWL Pride Festival

HOWL is a sexual wellness brand, education platform and LGBTQ+ party thrower, and this Pride it’s adding festival host to that list. HOWL Pride, taking over a number of venues in Hackney Wick, including Colour Factory, Number90 and Hackney Bridge, is offering an alternative to mainstream Pride events. Over 30 artists will be performing, with the likes of Julianna Huxtable, Manuka Honey, LOLSNAKE, Tedesco, Tygapaw, Ashtrey and more on the biil.

Pride at Clapham Grand

It’s a double-header at Clapham Grand this Pride as the venue is hosting both a day and a night party. Kicking off at 5pm (so have plenty of time to get down after the parade), Nadine Coyle will be performing live, alongside Silly Bitch Disco and DJ TeTe Bang. The after party begins at 10pm, with Tulisa hitting the stage plus DJ sets from Bimini and Bestley. As well keeping the Pride party vibes going until 3am, Clapham Grand will also be raising money for the Good Law Project through its glitter make-up booth.

Pride in London Pop-Up Shop

Pride in London has opened an official pop-up shop in Soho, where you can stock up on tees, badges and other merch ahead of the parade. Other Pride items designed by LGBTQ+ makers are available to shop too, there’s drinks and ice cream in-store to help you beat the heat, and there’s also a pledge wall where you can leave a motivational message for the community.

Pride in London Parade

2022 marked the 50th anniversary of the first Pride in London parade and in honour of the milestone, that parade traced the event’s original route, passing by locations key to the LGBT+ movement in this country. It started at Hyde Park Corner, (where the first post-march picnic happened in 1972 and where the miners stood in solidarity with the LGBT+ community in 1985) before going down Piccadilly, turning onto Haymarket, going through Trafalgar Square (where the 1972 march ended) and finishing at Whitehall Place. The same route was used for the parade last year, and the 2025 Pride parade will also follow that route, which you can see here. There’ll be two grandstands – one on Piccadilly and one on Cockspur Street – where you can get a ticket for a seat to watch the parade in all its glory.

London Trans+ Pride

London Trans+ Pride, which was established in response to the daily injustices trans+ people face and to create an event where all trans+ people can freely express themselves, is coming back for 2025. LT+P continues the legacy of Pride being a protest, so the march will serve as a way to protest for justice and liberation, with this year’s theme being Existence & Resistance. Following the recent Supreme Court ruling on biological sex, which excludes trans women from single-sex services, this year’s London Trans+ Pride is more important than ever. The march will also be used to demand a ban on all forms of conversion therapy, advocate for access to trans healthcare and legal reform, and to push back against the rising tide of global fascism.
