As most of us are under lockdown and WFH we’re having to adjust our daily routines, like swapping our morning takeaway coffee for one made in our kitchen. It’s also putting a massive strain on food banks, because people are limited as to what they can buy in the shops and it’s harder to drop off donations. The Social Coffee Shop is trying to help by asking you to donate the cost of your usual coffee, which you’ve saved by making it at home, to allow volunteers to do a shop for their local food bank.
A virtual coffee costs just £2.50 and it means you can still support food banks even if you’re unable to get out and donate items yourself. All the donation deets are on The Social Coffee Shop’s Instagram, so get involved if you can.
