HELP SAVE THE FRENCH HOUSE

The coronavirus lockdown has hit pretty much every industry in the country hard but the hospitality sector is one that will be struggling for a long time after we’re allowed back out again. The French House, one of the city’s best pubs and a Soho institution, needs help to pay the rent and make sure that the drinks are flowing post-lockdown.

In its 100-year history, the French has seen the likes of Charles de Gaulle, Francis Bacon, Dylan Thomas, Augustus John and Lucien Freud pass through its doors, so to ensure the doors stay open the Friends of the French House have set up a crowdfunding campaign. The target is £80,000 and rewards include a French House t-shirt, meals at the upstairs restaurant and money off your drinks bill.

If you can’t wait to have one of their half-pints in your hands again, then donate to the fundraiser here.
