Help Crisis Support Those Experiencing Homelessness This Christmas

Tis the season to give back

Crisis supports those experiencing homelessness all year round but winter is time that the charity needs extra help; it estimates that more than 83,000 families and individuals are experiencing the worst forms of homelessness, including sleeping on the streets and in cars. As well as many people feeling isolated at a time of year when others are celebrating with family, the cold and wet weather over the festive period increase the chances of those sleeping rough developing hypothermia and other illnesses.

Crisis will be opening up three hotels in London to help provide warmth, companionship and support services to Londoners who would be sleeping rough over December and January. Volunteers are needed to help these projects run, so as part of its Christmas appeal, the charity is asking for help with everything from delivering essentials to keeping the spaces safe and tidy.

You can find more information about volunteering roles here, and if you not able to volunteer but you’d still like to help, you can make a donation to Crisis here.
