We’veseen a big trend in London “country” hotels of late with Coworth Park and Syon Park both opening within the last two years. Now Heckfield Place, which jumped onto our radar last year has finally announced an opening date.
Located just an hour from the city, Heckfield Place set in 400 acres of garden, woodland and rolling Hampshire countryside is all set to open March 2013. The hotel is a converted 18th century manor house and the refurbished interiors will retain the feeling of a private residence.
The hotel will have just 60 individually designed rooms, a small restaurant which will obtain a selection of it’s ingredients including Berkshire Pigs and a herd of rare breed Aberdeen Angus cows from the working farm already on the estate, and a kitchen garden, an underground cinema and library. Outside of the main house there will be cottages with treatment rooms, horse riding, golf and fishing.
