Sleep with the lions, meet some nocturnal animals and hang out with Santa Claus at London Zoo this Christmas as they roll out a series of festive sleepovers. For just one week this December, animal lovers will get the chance to stay at the zoo after hours, enjoy a two-course dinner and sleep overnight in one of the zoo’s lodges – just round the corner from the lions.
To start things off, guests will get an exclusive tour of the Land of the Lions and learn about the residents before making Christmas gifts for the animals and heading to dinner. Afterwards, there’ll be a chance to peek behind the scenes and see the zoo after dark and some nocturnal animals along the way. In the morning, visitors will embark on a second exclusive tour where they’ll deliver the Christmas gifts to the animals – and they’ll get their own too after a visit from Santa.
On the next day, guests can stay on and experience the Magic of Christmas at London Zoo or head over to Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire to see the elephants and rhinos as the package includes two full-day entry to both locations. If you’re looking for a way to entertain family over the holiday period, this one sounds pretty special.
