HALF CUT MARKET TO OPEN IN ISLINGTON

Half Cut Market, a new shop that champions small and sustainable brands, is opening on York Way (almost smack bang between Kentish Town and Caledonian Road stations) and just in time for last-minute Christmas shopping. Founded by four locals and friends, Holly, Edwin, Danny and Paul, Half Cut Market will be stocked with 80 low-intervention wines and 120 craft beers from indie breweries like Cloudwater Brew Co, The Kernel, DEYA and Floc Brewing Co. You’ll also be able to pick up a range of ready-to-cook and frozen food, including fresh pasta, soups, sauces, dumplings from My Neighbours The Dumplings, ice cream from Happy Endings and oven pizzas from Homeslice.

And if you get thirsty or peckish whilst you’re in there, Half Cut Market will serve up a changing selection of wines by the glass, beers on drafts and dishes featuring stock from the shelves. And the shop will be doing its bit to give back and be eco – there’ll be a wine cork recycling service and soft plastic recycling drop-off point, and co-founder Danny will be expanding his not-for-profit cocktail delivery service to fund monthly meals for local food bank users.
