One of Southeast Asia’s most iconic dishes is getting a starring role
Two Roosters founders Terence and Julien (who were both born in the year of the rooster, hence the name), have been celebrating their Malaysian and Singaporean roots, and their love for Hainanese chicken rice, since starting the brand from a Swiss Cottage market stall in 2024. Now the pair are taking things permanent and opening a kitchen inside Old Spitalfields Market.
Authentic Hainanese chicken rice – poached chicken with fragrant rice, cucumber, chilli lime sauce and ginger scallion sauce – is the Two Roosters signature but you can also get the chicken roasted, or swap it out for tofu. There are sides of iceberg lettuce, beansprout salad, and golden eggs if you wanna pimp your mains.
