London is the city of the black-cab and how many times have you stood on the corner trying to hail a cab on a Saturday evening when the rain is pouring down and it’s minus 2 degrees. Well no more waiting in the rain people, Hailo is here to save you!
The world’s first black-cab app Hailo allows users to order a registered cab from their smartphone in just two taps. The free app (that’s right it costs nada) uses GPS to find you the nearest available taxi to you and what’s more you don’t pay a premium either. It costs exactly the same as pulling a cab would – cracking! Plus if you don’t have any cash there is no need to stop at an ATM, you just need to select pay by card and even if your too tipsy to enter your card details they are saved at registration. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!
Cabs usually come in 2-5 minutes, we live in Stoke Newington and have never waited longer than that however after Field Day we struggled to get one at all and gave up after 5 attempts but hey that was after a huge festival at kicking out time. All in all we fully approve of Hailo! Give it a try people…
