seeing Bombay Bicycle Club, Florence and The Machine, Jack White, Lana Del Ray and loads more for free this Summer? Well act sharp and register for  BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend 2012 taking place on Hackney Marshes on 23-24 June 2012.

There are 100,000 tickets to give away for the event which will be allocated on a lottery system – you gotta be in it to win it. There is no charge for the mini-festival, but a handling fee of £2.50 per ticket will be applied to help cover admin fees.

The ticket allocation process is very different from that usually used for Radio 1’s Big Weekends and has two stages. Anyone interested in attending needs to register their details and upload a photo before 11pm on Monday 19 March.

25,000 tickets for Saturday and 25,000 tickets for Sunday will be available at 11am on Sunday 25th March and a further 25,000 tickets for each day at 4pm on Monday 26 March. Those who have registered will be able to apply for a ticket online or by phone. A proportion of tickets will be reserved for those from Hackney and the other five Olympic boroughs, with allocation on a first-come, first-served basis once where you live has been taken into account. Should you be successful in booking a ticket in the first allocation on 25th March you will not be able to apply for a further set of tickets in the second allocation.

Got it? Then head over and register now!

Good Luck People….
