The only plus point about the darkness coming at 4pm is that it provides the perfect canvas for light festivals, and London is getting another one (joining Lightopia, Winter Light, Kenwood House and Kew) this winter with Hackney Revealed. The free illuminated arts festival will be taking over the borough and lighting up local landmarks like Sutton House, Hackney Church, Hackney Town Hall and St Augustine’s Tower with digital projections, including carnival dancers, protest art and photographs of people in Gillett Square, created by twelve artists and over 250 local residents. Don’t miss this chance to see Hackney all lit up.
