Gin. So wonderfully, destructively awesome that it used to be illegal in Britain. There is little as exhilarating or as intense as a night on the juniper juice. It is then with intrigue that we hear that East London’s most trendy den of iniquity, Bistrotheque has teamed up with interior design gods House of Hackney and top gin brand Bombay Sapphire to launch a modern day Gin Den. And don’t worry you won’t find an ounce of crack in this Hackney den…
Based at Bistrotheque’s headquarters on Wadeson Street, this is the place to be seen and to see the movers and shakers of the east London scene. You may remember our post on Bombay Sapphire‘s Blue Room where we discovered one of the best G&T’s we’ve tasted, but if you’re making the trip why not try one of the signature Hackney Empire cocktails or a new and interesting twist on a classic Tom Collins. This is not one for the faint hearted – by reputation, no one leaves Bistrotheque sober, and Bombay Sapphire is so very moreish. Write off tomorrow morning, because if you’re doing it properly this will get messy. The gin den is open to the public until New Year’s Eve.
