Missed Notting Hill this year? Hit up the Hackney Carnival instead. The event is returning for its 2024 edition this September, with a parade and lots of parties planned for the big day. The Hackney Carnival parade will kick off at 12pm on Mare Street (up by Ellingford Road) and pass along Graham Road, Queensbridge Road, Albion Drive and Lansdowne Drive before finishing at London Fields West Side by 5pm.
While that’s going down, there’ll be sound systems set up in Hackney Town Hall Square, The Paddock by St John at Hackney and the Town Hall car park, plus you can catch lots of live performances throughout the borough. Of course, it’s not a carnival without some banging street food too and there’ll be plenty at the Carnival’s dedicated market.
